Valentine's Day Pictures

We started off our day by putting our valentines into the bags with the children's names on them.

Breiana came to school with her hair in a heart shape. Very cool!! I have never seen this done before.

For math we counted, sorted, graphed sweethearts. We then grouped them in halves and then fourths.

At the end of the day we put our Valentine Cards into a scrapbook. This was a fun way for us to look at our cards and a safe way to take them home.

We had donuts for a special snack.

Valentine Card {Exchange}

We participated in an Valentine Card Exchange hosted by:

With the help of my friend, Ms. Rutledge, the children painted hearts onto red and pink construction paper.

We are sending our cards to Minnesota! The children had a great time making the cards!
Three children are missing from our class photo. Missing are Hailey D., Haylee P. and Eli R.

Picture It! {Exchange}

We have joined with Projects by Jen to participate in Picture It!

We started with a blank mural. The children were shown a picture on Monet's Water Lily painting and we discussed how our mural was a representation of that painting. We discussed sharing our one square with 23 other classrooms.

We then colored our square (Square 3). We discussed how we had part of the bug. We talked about how our bug could possibly end up three different colors because we didn't know what color the other were going to color their bug. This is how we decided to color our square.

We received mail today from Legend Springs School in Arizona. They sent us square 4. The first thing we noticed was that their bug was red! Now the bug is mainly red with a black left corner.

Follow us to see how our mural turns out!
