 Ice Cream will be sold on Thursday 

Saturday Activity "Thunder In West Blocton"

Last year, the very small Apostolic Revival Center took it upon themselves to raise money for our school and our school only. They organized a motorcycle rally and raised enough money to fund a school-wide field trip. This year, they have planned even bigger and have organized a bike rally called "Thunder in West Blocton" benefit ride on Saturday 24th at 10:00 am here located in front of the school.

In addition to the bike rally, there will be food, inflatables, shaved ice, live music and more! All money received will be presented to the school on that day.

It is for a good cause....the kids of WBES.

West Blocton Elementary Remembers September 11

As I class I didn't talk much to the children about the events of 9/11. However, as a school we met around the flag pole for a special morning message.

I had the children make flags this morning to take outside.

O.R.E. O. 2011 Project

I have just signed up our class to participate in the O.R.E.O. 2011 class project.

We will need the following materials (please let me know if you can donate any of these items):

• regular O.R.E.O cookies (Not Double Stuff)
• Paper Plates to stack cookies

We will complete this project the week of September 19-23, 2011.
