Reading Test
Weekly Folder Changes
Changes to the Weekly Folder
Beginning today the weekly folder will contain a print out of all your child’s grades for the nine weeks. You will need to sign this handout and return it to school. I will no longer record each grade below a 70/C.
All reading grades are completed on the computer so no reading papers will be coming home.
Homework
Math: Beginning today students will have daily math homework. This homework should take no longer than five minutes. This is a review of basic math skills. If you have access to the internet please check out our class site. On the right hand side of the page you will find a link to some wonderful math websites that students can play. Please continue to work on basic math facts.
Reading: We will continue to have our read and respond. This should take only twenty minutes. Most students are doing a really great job with this, I am very proud of our class.
Daily Planner: Children write in their daily planner each day. I only record behavior if it is unacceptable. Students are responsible for marking their green card. In the planner you can find spelling words and any additional class information.

Saturday Activity "Thunder In West Blocton"
Last year, the very small Apostolic Revival Center took it upon themselves to raise money for our school and our school only. They organized a motorcycle rally and raised enough money to fund a school-wide field trip. This year, they have planned even bigger and have organized a bike rally called "Thunder in West Blocton" benefit ride on Saturday 24th at 10:00 am here located in front of the school.
In addition to the bike rally, there will be food, inflatables, shaved ice, live music and more! All money received will be presented to the school on that day.
It is for a good cause....the kids of WBES.
